Preparing Your Home For An Exterior Remodel

Steps To Follow Before The Remodeling Concepts Team Arrives

Remodeling the exterior of your home is an exciting project that will enhance your curb appeal, safety, and home’s value.  Before diving into this exciting project, it is crucial to prepare your home for installation day.  By following the steps below, you can ensure that your exterior remodel will be as smooth as possible.

Preparing For A Roof Replacement

A roof replacement is a big project, but a little preparation can go a long way, helping to provide a smooth and stress-free experience. From protecting your possessions to keeping your car safe, here are some key steps to take before the roofers arrive.

Wall Clearance:  Be sure to remove fragile or valuable items from the walls of your home to prevent damage during the replacement.  This may seem odd, but the vibration of the team’s work can lead to damage to wall decorations, such as mirrors, framed photos, and other wall hangings.

Driveway Clearance:  If you park your vehicle in the driveway, make sure to park in the garage or on the street on the day of installation.  You do not want anything falling onto your vehicle while the Remodeling Concepts team is working.

Patio & Yard Furniture:  Anything in your front or back yard that is valuable should be removed or covered before installation day.  This will help prevent any damage to your belongings, such as patio furniture, toys, grills, lawn ornaments, etc.

Pet Management:  Keep all pets indoors to prevent interference with the Remodeling Concepts field crew.  This will ensure the safety of everyone, you do not want any loose shingles that may fall hitting your pets.
